Which class do you learn the fastest in?ġ0 5 Keys to Designing Your Own Inventory *Purpose how do you intend to use the inventory in a purposeful way to plan instruction? *Accurate is the information you are collecting accurate and reflective of your students honest thoughts? *Non- threatening not graded, not shared with the world, used appropriately *Age- appropriate language is it written in a way that a kid can understand? *Open- ended vs. The Gifted Education Team reviews the Student Profile to determine student eligibility for participation in the Infinite Horizons Program.1 The Impact of Student Input: Using Student Interest Inventories in Gifted Education Gretchen Oltman, J.D., Ph.D. The classroom teacher (or resource teacher) submits the completed Teacher Nomination Form, Teacher Observation Guide, Parent Nomination Form, Student Interest Inventory, CCAT Results, and a copy of the student’s IEP, to the Gifted Education Team. Students complete the Student Interest Inventory. Parents are asked to complete the Parent Nomination Form. Students may also be eligible to participate in the program provided a professional assessment has been completed and criteria has been met for gifted identification.Ĭlassroom teachers fill out the Teacher Nomination Form and Teacher Observation Guide for students scoring 130+ (composite) on the CCAT. The students who score 130+ (composite) on the CCAT are recommended for identification by IPRC and eligible to participate in the Infinite Horizons Program.
